Challenge
D&L Transport is a transportation broker offering freight brokerage services for customers, carriers and agents. For onboarding new carriers, D&L Transport used an existing application that included embedded forms from a third party. Due to the significant monthly cost of the third party service, D&L Transport approached Viagio Technologies to create a custom software solution to minimize cost while maintaining legal compliance and accessibility through the existing application.
Solution
During discovery, the Viagio team reviewed the onboarding process and third party forms with D&L Transport. Viagio made the recommendation to rebuild the existing forms directly into the existing onboarding application and remove embed codes that tied into the third party system. From there, Viagio’s team built new forms and integrated a PDF conversion tool to convert the signed (and legally compliant!) forms into downloadable PDF files. Adding the new forms to the existing onboarding application then required modifications and updates to software’s functionality and flow. In the final step, Viagio built integrations to populate D&L Transport’s database with the completed form data.
Result
Viagio’s custom software allowed D&L Transport to realize immediate savings. By moving from an external solution to an in-house implementation with a one-time project cost, D&L Transport achieved a 110% ROI, with ongoing annual savings of 86% compared to the cost of their previous third-party service.
